Eligibility is non-negotiable; the duties are what daily life with a host family actually looks like. We set both out plainly, before either side commits.

Au Pair Eligibility

Eleven conditions, every one of them required.

These apply without exception. We encourage every applicant to read them closely before beginning the process.

Male or female, aged 18 to 26 years

Single, with no dependents

No criminal record

Clean medical record

Decent education (minimum Ordinary Level)

Keen to learn a new language

Eager to actively engage in cultural exchange

Willing to apply themselves fully to the role

Ready to take part in regular family activities

Au pairs may not engage in any other employment

Au pairs must return home at the expiry of their placement period

Dropping off and collecting children from day care, nursery, or school
